In short: Tyniy is free to use. Your photos stay yours. Keep backups of anything important, because Tyniy can replace original files when you ask it to.
Agreement
By downloading or using Tyniy you agree to these terms and to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which applies to apps from the App Store. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
The app
Tyniy compresses photos (JPEG, HEIC and PNG) and videos (MP4 and MOV) on your device. It can replace originals, save compressed copies, convert photos to WebP or AVIF, resize large photos and watch folders on the Mac. Tyniy is free, with no in-app purchases, subscriptions or ads.
Your content
- Your photos and videos remain yours. We claim no rights to them and never receive them.
- Only compress content you have the right to modify.
Replacing originals
When you choose to replace originals, Tyniy moves them to the Trash on the Mac or to Recently Deleted in Photos on iPhone and iPad. They can be restored from there until the Trash is emptied or Photos removes them, usually after 30 days.
On iPhone and iPad, "Replace Originals" for files from Files (for example on an SD card or an external drive) overwrites the originals where they are. There is no Recently Deleted for these files, so they can't be restored. Tyniy asks you to confirm first.
Either way, keep backups of photos and videos that matter to you.
No warranty
Tyniy is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we can't guarantee that it will be free of errors, work with every file, or reach a particular size reduction.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, Milivon is not liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for the loss or corruption of files, arising from your use of Tyniy. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that can't be waived.
Intellectual property
Tyniy, its name and its design belong to Milivon. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse engineer the app except where the law allows it. Tyniy includes open source software (jpegli, Highway, libjpeg-turbo and libwebp), used under their licenses, which are listed in the app's settings.
Privacy
Tyniy collects no data. See the Privacy Policy.
Changes and ending
We may update these terms; the current version is always on this page. You can stop using Tyniy at any time by deleting it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws that apply where you live, to the extent they can't be set aside. If any part of them is unenforceable, the rest still applies.
